Heather Smyth {she/her}
MScPT, BScHK, DipSIM - Registered Physiotherapist – Orthopedic and Pelvic Health, Owner
Heather holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College. She has over 25 years of accumulated rehabilitation experience in the fields of Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy and Kinesiology.
She has further post-graduate training in Pelvic Health, medical acupuncture, manual therapy (Mulligan, Level 1 Certification, peripheral manipulation), the McKenzie Method for low back and neck injuries, K-Taping® and numerous other topics.
Heather started her career working with athletes and treating sports injuries as the Athletic Therapy Coordinator at Trinity Western University in British Columbia where she was responsible for the care of roughly 150 varsity men’s and women’s student-athletes. Additionally, she has been a volunteer member of the medical teams at the Pan-American Games, the Western Canada Summer Games and for Canada Cup International Women’s Fast-pitch and Women’s U-19 International Lacrosse tournaments. As her career has evolved Heather has honed her skills and is passionate about educating her clients on care and self-management with a whole body approach. She is very passionate about pelvic health physiotherapy and is a rostered Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. Heather is also a certified instructor for the GLA:D™ Canada hip and knee osteoarthritis program and a Bone Fit™ trained professional in osteoporosis exercise and movement management.
When she’s not working Heather enjoys gardening, reading, cycling and kayaking.
Sydney Friesen {she/her}
B.A. Sc. AT, CAT(C) - Certified Athletic Therapist & PNFS
Sydney is a Canadian Certified Athletic Therapist. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College and has pursued additional post-secondary training in Pelvic Health including Cesarean Rehabilitation, Diastasis Rectus Abdominis Rehabilitation and Pregnancy and Post-Natal Fitness. She currently holds the distinction of being the only Post Natal Fitness Specialist in the Windsor-Essex & Chatham-Kent area.
In addition to her clinical work, Sydney continues to provide onsite care to sporting events and teams in Windsor-Essex County, utilizing her specialized athletic therapy training and First Responder skills. She proudly assisted the Douglas College Royals Men’s Soccer Team (British Columbia) to their CCAA National title in 2023 at St. Clair College.
A skilled volleyball player, Sydney played varsity at Sheridan College and now serves as an Assistant Coach at UMEI. She enjoys taking to the court, working out, and daily walks with her husband and their dog Cooper. After all that activity, her favorite pastime is sitting on the front porch in the sunshine drinking a coffee.
John Maksoud {he/him}
MSCPT, BHK - Registered Physiotherapist
John completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University and received his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. With over 10 years of rehabilitation experience under his belt (a 1st degree Black Belt in Goju Ryu Karate, no less) he has additional post-secondary training in soft tissue release including Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Manual Therapy and is a Certified instructor for the GLA:D™ Canada hip and knee osteoarthritis program. John is currently pursuing certification in acupuncture and dry needling.
With his favorite sport football, John is a diehard Packers and Wolverines fan and was elated with the Wolverines 2024 National Championship win. Besides watching football John spends some quality time in his home gym and loves nothing better than quiet Sundays together with his wife and children, including homemade breakfast, outdoor activities and…watching football together.
Melissa Leffelhoc {she/her}
MScPT, BHK - Registered Physiotherapist
Melissa completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonia University in Scotland and received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Honors Movement Science degree from the University of Windsor. After practicing as a physiotherapist in the United Kingdom for several years she has returned home to Essex County to empower you to reach your goals and prevent re-injury.
Professionally Melissa is pursuing additional training in manual therapy. She has certification in acupuncture and dry needling and vast knowledge in exercise and fitness having herself competed in the National IFBB fitness competition.
Away from clinical practice Melissa enjoys travel and outdoor activities like hiking, paddleboarding and volleyball. She’s a fan of both types of football and supports the Green Bay Packers and Manchester United and is happy to enjoy a taco while watching them.
Roberta Weston {she/her}
BPHE, DipSIM - Registered Kinesiologist, Business Manager
Roberta holds a degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College. She has over 25 years of accumulated rehabilitation experience and has completed post-graduate training in Functional Capacity Evaluation; McKenzie Method for low back injuries; K-Taping® and numerous other topics.
Roberta has vast and varied experience working with athletes and sport injuries. She was the Team Therapist to Seneca College’s varsity men’s volleyball, hockey and soccer, the Georgetown Jr. A. Raiders Hockey team, and the Team BC U-16 girls’ fast-pitch team. She has volunteered at the Pan-American Games, Western Canada Summer Games, Canada Cup International Women’s Fast-pitch and Sunlife National Figure Skating competitions. Locally Roberta has been the Medical Coordinator for OFSAA Basketball, Volleyball & Soccer.
Professionally Roberta serves as a Peer Assessor with College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
When she’s not managing the day to day operation of the clinic Roberta enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, adventure racing, slo-pitch and hockey.
Stephanie Wuerch {she/her}
Patient Experience Coordinator
Stephanie has been cheerfully receiving the clients at Erie Shores Rehabilitation for over twenty years. She always enjoys meeting and assisting new clients as well as providing friendly service to our current clients.
Outside of the clinic Stephanie enjoys watching plays, bike rides with her family, kayaking and spending time at the family cottage on Pelee Island.
Jaime Egoff {she/her}
Patient Experience Coordinator
Jaime has many years of experience in customer service and healthcare. She enjoys meeting and assisting clients and working behind the scenes on our systems to support the team.
Away from the clinic Jaime can be found puttering in her garden or hiking and camping with her husband and their dog Marleigh.

Holly Mayhew
Registered Massage Therapist
Holly received her Massage Therapy Diploma from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. With over 12 years of experience under her belt, she has additional post-graduate training in myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, TMJ mastery, cupping, pregnancy massage, reflexology and trigger point therapy.
An avid runner, Holly has completed the Chicago Marathon and at least 5 half marathons. Her favorite activity though is being a sports mom - she spends a lot of time cheering from the bleachers. With all that fitness Holly enjoys Mexican Village and of course chocolate.
Tracie Krueger
Registered Massage Therapist
Tracie is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (BA) and the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She leads a very active life having completed a half marathon, a 10 day trek in Nepal, and keeping up with active children. She enjoys all sports as well as hiking, kayaking and travel with her family. Her favorite team is whichever one her kids are playing on! Tracie’s message to clients is: Stay Healthy. Stay Active. Be Positive.
Emily Stevenson
Registered Practical Nurse
A graduate of the St. Clair College Nursing program, Emily has been practicing as a Registered Practical Nurse for over 15 years. She has post-graduate training in basic and advanced foot care and is a certified Onyfix® provider. Emily is pleased to offer her services at some of our local retirement communities, in-home or on-site at Erie Shores Rehabilitation.
When she’s not caring for feet, Emily is happiest cheering her children on in sports, spending time with family and friends or relaxing at the family cottage near Wiarton.
Jacob Simpson
B.A. (Kin), R. Kin, C Ped(C) - Canadian Certified Pedorthist
Jacob is the owner of Simpson Orthotics and Kinetics and is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist and Registered Kinesiologist. He operates a satellite office at Erie Shores Rehabilitation providing assessment and fabrication of Custom Foot Orthotics. Jacob completed his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a Post Graduate Diploma in Pedorthics at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated with distinction from his Pedorthics program.
Jacob leads an active lifestyle having played sports his whole life but his favorite is a round of golf. He also enjoys relaxing summer nights by the fire at the cottage and time spent with his family.

Dr. Brock McGregor ND is your partner on your health care journey. With close to 10 years of experience, he works closely with patients to listen to their health goals in a safe space. Dr. McGregor ND works closely with each and every one of his patients focusing on and listening to their needs and valuing where they want to be in their health journey.
With advanced training in Intravenous Nutrient Therapy, and qualifications to meet recent standards in prescribing, Dr. McGregor continues to offer the latest in integrative therapies to patients. Wishing to serve a wider population lead Dr. McGregor to open a satellite office at Erie Shores Rehabilitation.
An avid community supporter, Dr. McGregor is currently serving his third term as a Chatham-Kent Municipal Councillor, and currently sits on the Chatham Kent Board of Health and serves as the chair of the Budget Committee.
Lori Ingratta
BSW, MSW, RSW - Registered Social Worker
Lori is Registered Social Worker with almost 12 years experience working with youth and families. When you meet, she will welcome you with a warm disposition and genuine regard for your overall wellness. Having experienced her own adversity in life has added depth to her practice. She wholeheartedly value’s individuality and you will feel respected in this space. Together, you will determine a treatment plan that best meets your needs.
Outside of her practice Lori enjoys reading a good book on the deck, watching a rom-com and savoring gelato.
